Alexei, nato in Russia, di origini siberiane, si trasferisce infante e vive la propria adolescenza a Torino, inizia la propria carriera nel 2000, in feste e piccoli club nei dintorni di Londra, si esibisce poi a Ibiza, Formentera e Sharm el Sheikh, proponendo un dj set orientato su sonorita’ Deep-Techno. Nel 2005 il ritorno a Torino e l’incontro con Nig, il quale affonda le proprie radici musicali nel primo Hip Hop italiano, ma nel corso degli anni 90 evolve il proprio gusto in una selezione di classici House americani.
Insieme, sviluppano le proprie conoscenze elaborando una concezione del tutto personale che va ad ampliare il classico concetto di deep underground, in modo tale da renderlo un meltin pot tra ritmiche percussive e synth dubby che trae spunto dalla clubculture degli ultimi 15 anni. A Torino sono residenti mensilmente al Doctor Sax e collaborano con diverse organizzazioni della propria citta’, si esibiscono sporadicamente a Milano per la Exprezoo Records (www.exprezoo.com), hanno proposto il proprio dj set a Ibiza (2006) e Sharm el Sheikh (N.y.e.2008), amalgamando il dj set classico ad effetti e loop creati personalmente.
Alexxei n Nig duo is respectively formed by a Russian and an Italian mind. The first one started his career around the small clubs in London in 2000; he played then in Ibiza, Formentera and Sharm El Sheikh purposing a dj set oriented to deep techno rhythms. Flying to Turin in 2005 he met Nig, that sunk roots into the first hip hop and turned during the 90’s into a us house classics selection. They oriented their work to create a personal conception of music and to enlarge the classic concept of deep underground to a meltin pot between percussive rhythmics and dubby synths, drawing on the club scene of the last 15 years. In Turin they are monthly residents @ Doctor Sax, and they collaborate with different organizations and clubs of their city, then playing sporadically in clubs in Milan, for Exprezoo Records (www.exprezoo.com) and had gigs in Ibiza on summer 2006 and Sharm el Sheikh in 2008, always mixing vinyls to personally created loops and effects.
