Giakomo Rondinella aka Decoside nasce nel giugno del 1981. È un dj e produttore torinese che si occupa di techno, nelle sue sfumature più dub e deep. Il suo primo contatto con i ritmi breakbeat, drum bass e hip-hop è con la breakdance, quando porta il vessillo della scena torinese nei contest in giro per l'Europa (fra cui il prestigioso Battle Of The Year di Zurigo del 1999 dove si classifica tra i primi 10).
La fascinazione per la musica techno nasce negli anni del servizio militare, quando non contento di frequentare il dancefloor, compra i primi piatti e mixer iniziando ad affinare la sua tecnica. Di lì a poco, inizia a proporsi in vari locali di Torino e dintorni, giungendo infine dietro la consolle di club come Rock City, La Gare, Hennesy e proponendosi anche in Liguria. Di pari passo procede il suo interesse nella produzione: dapprima sono solo dei loop da sovrapporre ai suoi dj set, prima di immergersi nella cultura musicale underground. Nel 2006 esce il suo primo ep “Identidad”, pubblicato dalla net label spagnola Off Audio, influenzato dalla minimal e glitch. Nel 2007 produce per l’etichetta digitale italiana Stomafunk, 3 tracce con sonorità più scure racchiuse nell’ ep “Luna Park”.
Giakomo Rondinella AKA Decoside is a deep & dub-techno dj and producer born in Turin in 1981.The first contact with break beat, drum and bass and hip-hop is with breakdance, representing the Turin scene in contests all around Europe (during Zurich’s Battle Of The Year in 1999 he classified in the top 10).
The fascination with techno develops during the (compulsory) Army service. Not satisfied with being “just” a clubber, Decoside buys his first decks and mixer playing endlessly to fine tune his technique. Soon he stars playing for the major clubs in Turin, emerging beyond the local scene. At the same time, he start producing his beats: at first only few loops to boost his dj set, but soon he finds himself completely involved in the underground scene. In 2006 he releases his first ep called “Identidad” for the Spanish net label Off Audio, influenced by minimal and glitch sounds. His latest work was released in 2007 for the Italian net label Stomafunk, 3 tracks with a much darker sound by the name of “Luna Park”.
