Da sempre appassionato di tutti i generi musicali, specialmente funky, disco 70, new wave e rock, amore nato dai vinili dei suoi genitori, dal 1996 inizia ad affacciarsi sulla scena dei free tekno party italiani; qui rimase colpito dall’ energia che si sprigionava dalle casse e dal calore della gente, tanto da voler contribuire alla creazione della stessa provando a metter mano sui giradischi come dj (2000). Nel ottobre 2003 ha vinto la serata “Kids are Fresh”, una “one night” dedicata ai dj emergenti torinesi, da quel giorno, fino al 2005, ha suonato come resident per la serata “The Plug” del Centralino, club di fama internazionale. Durante i suoi set cercava di mescolare i vari generi musicali adatti al dance floor (tekno, house,elektro), ma sempre con un particolare riguardo ai ritmi funky supportati da linee di basso potenti. Con lo sviluppo della cultura minimale ha deciso di intraprendere questa strada, ed è qui che i suoi set prendono due vie: una rivolta alla pista mixando minimal-funky e new-house, l’ altra rivolta alle ricerche di ritmiche sincopatiche con una riduzione sostanziale dei suoni, questa ultima via proposta durante gli after-hour, è da lui chiamato come genere “musica delle 10,35 a.m.”. In ogni caso i suoi set hanno come caratteristica di base la ricerca musicale per creare un’ atmosfera coinvolgente per il divertimento del pubblico, e di se stesso. Attualmente è resident ed art director del DOCTOR SAX MUSIC CLUB, storico locale underground famoso per il suo after-hour e, dall' inizio della nuova stagione del 2007, è resident per la serata VANITY. Parallelamente al progetto elettronico, continua a coltivare il suo interesse per le origini, cercando tra i 45 giri usati, le hit che hanno fatto storia e che hanno creato il movimento elettronico di oggi. Una ricerca insaziabile che va dai Kraftwerk ai Bronski Beat passando attraverso i Bauhaus e Soft Cell fino ad arrivare alla disco wave '80, che gli da la possibilità di proporsi come selezionatore in alcune one-night a tema. Collabora con “I-DEO”, un progetto torinese rivolto alla multimedialità ed alla rete, ed è in stretta amicizia con KRAKATOA di Pisti e Samuel, "TONI MUSIC.COM" e “SILENZIO.TV” la nuove net label cittadine. Since the day when he was born, he was passionate about all kinds of music especially funky, disco ‘70, rock and new wave. In 1996 he came into contact with the free tekno parties, and become an assiduous participant due to the energy that exploded outside the speaker and outside the people. From that day he wanted contribute to create the energy and during the 2000 he bought his first turntable for get in touch with the music. When exploded the electro-clash movement into the disco club, he wanted espouses this new way, because here he found the compromise between melody and energy, and the possibility of range from grooving bass with melodic pads to break-beat rhythm with robotic machine voices. This new music, helped Gambo to open the club’s doors and during the 2003, after a competition won by him, he become the new resident dj of THE PLUG, the one night that ruled the new standard style of the music in the north of Italy. During his sets he mixed tekno, house, elektro, but always looking for funky rhythm and grooving bass. With the growing of minimal movement, he found the new way for his music, because it sounds like a back track on his roots: syncopatic rhythm and distorted melodic lines but always with more groove and funky inspiration, all that he wants! Anyway, the main feature of his sets is the musical research to create an overall atmosphere for the playfulness of the people and for himself. Now he is resident dj and art director of DOCTOR SAX, the historical club of Turin, famous for its after party, where he play the “music of the 10 a.m.” as he called it. Since the new season of 2007 he is resident dj for the historical fantastic night called "VANITY". At the same time he keep growing his passion for the beginning, browsing through “45 round vinyl” the hits that created the electronic music movement of today. He had more radio experience and he is in harness friendship with TONIMUSIC.COM and SILENZIO.TV the new Turin’s net-label. Works with I-DEO a Turin multimedia project that develops web sites, graphics and videos.
