Entrambi provenienti da esperienze come cantanti in alcune delle band piu’ attive nella scena eporediese e non solo, nel 2003 Mauro Zanaboni e Gianluca Bello(A.K.A. Zizzi e Gianlu) decidono di dare vita al progetto Vincent ‘n’ Jules.
Il filo conduttore che li accomuna è la passione per le sonorità elettroniche e il desiderio di poter proporre al pubblico una selezione musicale differente da quella convenzionale.
In breve tempo riescono a ricavarsi un certo spazio che consente loro di diventare resident di vari locali di Ivrea e di farsi conoscere nell'ambiente della musica elettronica e non solo.
Il genere da loro prediletto e’ sicuramente l’electro minimale che propongono in un dj set "mutevole" che a tratti assume venature più techno o toni più houseggianti.
I viaggi in Europa per "studiare" i vari festival (Sonar, Time Warp, Innercity) e i grandi dj che vi partecipano hanno indubbiamente influenzato sia la tecnica che il gusto musicale di Vincent 'n' Jules insegnandogli che tutta la musica è espressione e soprattutto che "al momento giusto il giusto brano è quello che ci vuole" (grazie Laurent Garnier!)
Eccoli quindi cimentarsi in altri generi come la chill out, la lounge, l' elektrojazz , proposti nei locali durante l'aperitivo, o con rock ,hip hop,elektropop nelle serate "post '90" .
La dimostrazione di questa grande versatilita’ e’ anche il vivido impegno che li vede attivi su piu’ fronti a livello musicale.
Entrambi si dedicano sia in coppia che singolarmente alla produzione e nel 2006 Jules fonda l' etichetta “HitBeat Records", non specializzata ma aperta a qualsiasi tipo di contaminazione sonora in ambito elettronico mentre Vincent fonda (insieme agli altri componenti) la rock band Midori. Nell'aprile del 2007 vengono chiamati a partecipare alla 18a edizione di Tavagnasco Rock chiudendo al Tclub la serata con Max Casacci e Post@l Market e sempre nello stesso anno, a settembre, prendono parte all' 'On Festival di Ivrea (TO) al fianco di Davide Squillace e Damian Schwartz.
Attualmente sono promotori di "To The Club" appuntamento mensile caratterizzato da sonorità techno e minimali presso il "Sugho" di Ivrea, sono resident al "Bar di Re Arduino" durante "Laperitivo" del venerdì dove propongono suoni influenzati da jazz, nujazz, soul e electrobossa e, una volta al mese, sono ospiti dell' Art Cafè di Aosta.
Both coming from experiences as singer in some of the most active bands in their own scene, in 2003 Mauro Zanaboni e Gianluca Bello(A.K.A. Zizzi e Gianlu) decided to give life to Vincent’n’Jules project.
The original common thread was their love for electronic sounds and the wish of propose a no conventional music selection.
In a short time they have been able to become resident djs in many clubs of Ivrea,the small town near Turin where they live, and to be known not only in the electronic scene.
Their favourite kind of music is surely elektro minimal that they play in a variable dj set ,sometimes influenced by techno ,otherwise by house music, but always based on a powerful beat.
Several trips around the Europe to attend the most important festivals (Sonar, Time Warp, Innercity) and to “study” the great djs that take part to, have certainly influenced their approach and their musical taste, teaching them that every kind of music is expression and that the right song in the right moment is just the ticket (very thanks Mr.Laurent Garnier!).
So, we can listen them playing other genres like chill out, lounge, elektrojazz (mainly during the aperitif sessions) or rock, reggae, hip hop (during post 90 nights).
Demonstration of this great versatility is also their engagement in other musical fields.
They are both producer. In 2006 Jules established Hit beat records a label not specialized but open to different kind of audio contamination in electronic environment and Vincent formed with others musicians the rock band Midori.
In the april of 2007 they took part to Tavagnasco Rock playing in the closing party on the T-club after djset of Max Casacci and Post@l Market and in the same year, in september, they played at 'ON Festival in Ivrea with Davide Squillace and Damian Schwartz.
Now they are promoters at Sugho (Ivrea-TO) of To The Club,a monthly party characterized by techno and minimal style.They are residents at Bar di Re Arduino (in Ivrea too) where during Laperitivo, a weekly event,they play a sound influenced by jazz,nujazz,soul and electrobossa. Once time in a month they're also guest of the Art Cafe' in Aosta and Moonspell Cafè in Turin.
